What the Course Covers
Infection prevention and control, aligned to the CDC’s dental guidance and OSHA’s bloodborne pathogens standard.
It is the ground floor under Infection Control, and under both infection-prevention credentials.
Infection Control, CDIPC and DISIPC are DANB® exams; this free course is preparation for them and is not a DANB product.
Preventing disease transmission
The chain of infection and where it is actually broken in a dental setting — standard precautions, hand hygiene, and the reasoning underneath both rather than a list to memorize.
Instrument processing
Receiving, cleaning, packaging, sterilizing, storing — in order, as a sequence you can be asked to reproduce, with the monitoring that proves the cycle worked.
Environmental asepsis
Surface classification, barriers versus disinfection, and waterline management — the operatory turnaround that happens between every pair of patients.
Personal protective equipment
Selection, sequence and the removal order that is the part people get wrong. Practiced as a sequence, not read as a paragraph.
Exposure control and occupational safety
What the bloodborne pathogens standard requires, what happens after a sharps injury, and how waste is handled — the material an exposure-control plan is written from.
Finding the actual rule
The same regulation-lookup work the paid courses use: locate the governing CDC guidance or OSHA provision and cite it, rather than remembering that there is one.

A few honest reasons, and none of them is a limited-time offer.
- It is week one of the job for everybody. Whatever credential you are eventually going for, infection control is the part you needed on your first day — and it is a component of three of the seven paths.
- It is how you find out whether this works. Not a demo and not a sample: the whole adaptive engine on a real subject. If the way it teaches does not suit you, you will know before you have paid anything.
- Free means free. No credit card, no trial that quietly converts, no chapter three paywall. The paid product exists and this is not it.

It is study material, not continuing-education credit. Certificants owe continuing education, and this course does not provide it. Continuing-education credit has to come from a provider recognized for it, and we have not sought that recognition. Use this to learn the material and to prepare for an exam; use a recognized provider for credit hours.
Boundaries
What This Course Is Not
Worth saying outright, because the subject matter invites the assumption.
- Not affiliated with anybody named in it. AccelaStudy AI is independent of the Dental Assisting National Board, the DALE Foundation, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Their guidance is cited because it is the guidance the exams are written against.
- Not a certification. Finishing it does not certify you in anything. Certification comes from passing the exams, and those belong to DANB.
- Not continuing-education credit. Said twice on purpose.
- Not a substitute for your practice’s own training. Your employer’s exposure-control plan and equipment instructions govern what you actually do at work.
